Part of my day job is analyzing data and statistics. For example, today I studied the most commonly viewed pages on the Soft Flex Company website to see what people are naturally finding and viewing most frequently. It was really neat to see that 6 of the top 10 free project ideas that are most frequently viewed were designed by me. Sometimes it is the little things that give you a little pep in your step. I am pretty confident that I can list August 15-16 as my next appearance dates for Jewel School. This coming week I will be working on some fun and easy design ideas to share. I hope that you will tune in and check it out!

BeadandButton Recap

Although I had a lovely time at the BeadandButton Show, I am so glad to be home. It was a chaotic and busy week. I taught my first class at the BeadandButton Show. I felt like it went quite well but was really surprised that it took the entire 3 hours to accomplish the project. I thought for sure that the students would be done quickly and I'd have time to show them more. Oh well! Meet the Teachers was really fun, but I cannot believe that it goes until 11 at night. I was a little owl eyed by the end. The make-it-take-its, demos and book signings were all fun and went smoothly. Finally, we offered a presentation paired with a free make-it-take-it bangle bracelet to the Loose Bead Society of Greater Milwaukee on Monday night. It was A LOT, but I feel like we did not spread ourselves too thin.

 BeadandButton magazine - June 2012

One exciting part of the show was that not only was my book available for the first time at BeadandButton, but my bangle bracelet is on the current issue of BeadandButton magazine and I have a necklace and two bracelets in the current issue of BeadStyle magazine. I had SO many people compliment these designs and buy Soft Flex with the intention of recreating them. The Russian spiral bangle bracelet was the BIGGEST hit. Exciting! It was even on a huge welcome sign.

I had so much fun at my book signing in Billings, Mt last weekend! I am going to my last book signing in a bead store for awhile on Saturday. I hope to see some new faces as well as familiar ones. Jewel School May 23 and 24

Exciting news!!! Jewelry Television (JTV) has a program called Jewel School. Jamie Hogsett and I will be the guests on Jewel School for May 23 and 24. The show airs from 10am-12pm (EST). We will be showing some fun and unusual ways to use Soft Flex Beading wire, including knitting on a spool! We'll also be sharing our book, Show Your Colors!
